The Independent Jewelers Organisation (IJO) has revealed sales were strong this year at its spring show, with large numbers of exhibitors and buyers. Taking place at the Austin Convention Center, the show ran from February 19th to 22nd and included 560 independent retailers and 178 suppliers.

Jeff Roberts, president and chief executive officer of the Independent Jewelers Organization since 1996, has taken over as its owner, effective June 1. Former owner/chairman Richard Swetz retired, after almost 20 years at the helm of the organization.
