Two of the aircraft have already been delivered to NextJet from the existing West Air Sweden fleet. Neither aircraft had been converted into freight configuration. The third aircraft (msn 2023) has been newly leased from BAE Systems to West Air Sweden to cover the NextJet requirement.

NextJet is a regional carrier, currently operating 19-seat Beech 1900D and 34-seat Saab 340A aircraft on a number of domestic routes and also to Copenhagen from Orebro. It also operates a Cessna 560XL on air taxi and executive charter flights.

Its expansion into ATPs is on the back of a three-year contract awarded by the Swedish authorities to fly Public Service Obligation (PSO) routes that were previously operated by another carrier using 50-seat aircraft.

With effect from the winter season on 25 October, NextJet will commence scheduled ATP service on routes linking Arvidsjaur and Lycksele to Stockholm Arlanda; from Gallivare to Arlanda; and from Hemavan and Vilhelmina to Arlanda.
