FARNBOROUGH 2008: Upgraded Tu-204 launched with massive IFC order

Russian leasing company Ilyushin Finance (IFC) has ordered 31 Tupolev Tu-204SM airliners from United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). The 210-seater twinjets will be produced between 2010-12 at the Aviastar plant in Ulyanovsk. The core contract is worth $1.

Russia, Cuba agree to cooperate in aviation, pharmaceutical sectors - Zibb.com

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and the company Aviaexport have agreed with the Cuban Institute of Civil Aviation on supplies of Russian aircraft, in particular, the An-148-200 and Tu-204-300, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade said on Tuesday [5 August]. This was done as part of the visit of the Russian delegation to Cuba, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin.
A corresponding memorandum of cooperation in the field of civil aviation industry was concluded, a press release said. "In this regard, issues concerning setting up modern service centres to maintain Russian aviation equipment were discussed," the statement said.
In addition, two memoranda on developing cooperation between Cuban and Russian pharmaceutical companies were signed following the negotiations held in Cuba.
"Specifically, the Russian companies Farmapark and Farmstandart have agreed with the Cuban Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology to cooperate in the production of combined multi-component vaccines in Russia.
