In 1989, farmers, farm and environmental groups, researchers, educators and other citizens joined forces to start CIAS. Twenty years later, we are recognized as one of eight national campus leaders in sustainable agriculture. We’ve worked across the state to put the Wisconsin Idea to work.
Dr Peter Thorburn: developing sustainable agricultural systems (Resume)
The Tropical Production Systems research group work at on-farm and industry-levels, developing sustainability within the coastal agricultural areas of North-Eastern Australia.
Dr Andrew Young: researching Australia's biodiversity (Resume)
His research combines genetic and ecological approaches to understanding the viability of native plant populations in disturbed environments, specifically with regard to the management of remnant native vegetation in agricultural landscapes.
