Pantech Wireless Inc, a US subsidiary of Korean mobile phone maker Pantech Group (Kuala Lumpur:5125), said today that its new Impact handset will be available from communications company AT&T Inc (NYSE:T) from Sunday.
Available in blue or pink, the Impact messaging phone features a haptic response touchpad, two screens and a full hidden keyboard, together with a range of social and multimedia options. The handset is preloaded with AT&T's new HTML mobile browser and att.net service.
Impact is priced at USD99.99 after mail-in rebate at AT&T company-owned stores or online at http://www.wireless.att.com.

To address the growing demand for advanced wireless data products and services in Saratoga County, New York, AT&T* today announced the opening of a new wireless retail store in Wilton.
The store, located directly in front of the Wilton Mall in the all new Wilton Plaza Shopping Center on Route 50, has a state-of-the-art, hands-on design to engage customers and provide a "try before buy" service experience. Trained sales consultants will provide demonstrations of a wide range of wireless products.
AT&T offers unsurpassed choice when it comes to devices, services and applications compatible with its 3G network - which launched in Saratoga County in 2008. Shoppers, both business and consumer, can chose from a variety of devices from more than a dozen manufacturers, including handsets that are compatible with six different operating systems and five different e-mail applications.
"AT&T is committed to creating economic opportunity in upstate New York by expanding critical wireless access, providing faster and better options for everything from reaching emergency services to conducting business to sharing information with family and friends," said William Leahy, vice president of Atlantic region legislative and regulatory affairs for AT&T.

The Wilton store is led by Zach Nasr and has a staff of seven employees who are trained to assist customers -- both business and consumer -- with purchasing decisions, customer service and technical support. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The store, which officially opens today, will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, December 4th.
There are 50 AT&T-owned retail locations in AT&T's upstate New York territory. Its products and services are also available at a number of other authorized dealers and national retail locations.
