NEW YORK & LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Nov 04, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Ad:tech New York will be the setting this week as Acxiom(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM) showcases its vastly expanded advertising solutions that redefine effectiveness in reaching the right consumers with relevant messages.
Irrelevant ads annoy consumers and are beginning to frustrate marketers due to the resulting wasted impressions and media spend. Up to 80 percent of online impressions fail to reach their intended audience with desired frequency (source: comScore) and companies spend an estimated $112 billion in wasted advertising in the United States each year (source: What Sticks).
Acxiom helps clients prevent wasted advertising through Acxiom Relevance-X(TM), which spans channels from online and mobile to social media and interactive television and enables marketers and advertisers to:
-- Incorporate new ad decisioning technologies to ensure their messages reach the most receptive audience every time.
-- Select audience and channel based on deep consumer insights, including in-house marketing and behavioral data.
-- Apply consumer-centric analytics to continually improve relevance for every interaction across the entire buying cycle.
"Armed with Relevance-X, advertisers can achieve high-performance marketing results and superior returns, often times generating three to five times the return compared to campaigns based on reach, context or behavior," said Tim Suther, senior vice president for Acxiom's Global Multichannel Marketing Services. "For years, progressive marketers have counted on Acxiom to enable better performance. Relevance-X continues the tradition of providing value through targeted customer engagements driven by powerful insight."
Relevance-X allows marketers to easily select and engage consumer segments, then reliably deliver the right message through the most relevant channel. Strong analytic capabilities equip marketers with the tools to monitor results and optimize campaigns in real time. This ensures purposeful messaging to consumers throughout campaigns and leads to the most effective marketing possible with improved customer engagement and fewer wasted ad impressions.

Nov 03, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Acxiom, a provider of interactive marketing services and infrastructure management, announced an investment in a business and development partnership with Kynetx, a supplier of context-automation services, which the company said will enable online consumers to control their personalization experience across multiple websites.
The company reported that consumers will be able to download applications that flag the discounts and promotions they are most likely to be interested in. Because the technology is brokered through a standard Web browser, the application that the consumer has self-selected (and with it, the consumer's personal discounts) can accompany them across the Web to any search engine or site.
"Our partnership with the Kynetx platform will enable consumers to drive the content," said John Meyer, Acxiom CEO and president. "We will put more power in the hands of consumers to get the content they're looking for, and in much less time than is required today. The applications enabled by our partnership create consumer engagement that no one else is doing in quite the same way. Consumers will be able to drive highly targeted, personalized features that improve the quality of the interaction."
"Together, we're giving users the ability to experience the Web in a 'purpose-centric' way," said Stephen Fulling, Kynetx CEO. "People go online to get something done. With Acxiom, we are creating applications that fully achieve users' goals of finding the best information without getting lost in the clutter."
"Kynetx is the perfect partner," said Tim Christin, Acxiom's senior vice president for identity solutions. "The Kynetx engine is the best technology to build a loyal audience because it is consumer controlled and delivers a cross-site, experiential and context-driven experience. And best of all for the consumer, it ties in seamlessly with our existing identity management solutions."
Kynetx and Acxiom will discuss their integrated tools and how to use them at the upcoming Kynetx Impact Conference November 18-19.
