The agreement includes a four-per-cent wage increase in each of the three years for a total of 12 per cent; an increased monthly defined pension plan payment and a reduction to 56 years of age to qualify; improvements to benefits (extended benefit coverage, increased short-term disability, long-term disability, dental, vision, life insurance, introduction of a maternity leave top-up); improved job security, and bargaining-unit work protection.

Mill refurbishing based on a flowsheet for the production concentrate has progressed on schedule during the past three months. The tailings water reclaim system has been installed and commissioned.

Proposals for the underground development work and crushing of the 10,000 tonne bulk sample are being solicited. Bidders will be asked to update their quotes due to the change in current economic conditions.
