City National Bank is partnering with Barnes & Noble this holiday season for a multi-state book drive that will celebrate the joy of reading and benefit our area schools.
It's part of the world's largest bookseller's annual Holiday Book Drive which runs from November 1 through January 1. To participate in the book drive, holiday shoppers can purchase a book at select Barnes & Noble stores and donate it. City National's Reading is The way up(R) literacy program will match each book donated, up to $50,000, and the books will be distributed to area schools early next year.

City National Bank, California's Premier Private and Business Bank(R), today opened its fifth full-service regional center in Northern California, the San Jose Regional Center located at 224 Airport Parkway in San Jose.
The 7,245-square-foot regional center includes the San Jose branch that City National recently acquired from Westamerica Bank. It is City National's ninth branch in Northern California and its 55th in the state.
The San Jose Regional Center also features a Commercial Banking Services office to serve middle-market companies, mid-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations and government entities.
City National soon will expand the regional center through:

City National Bank today announced the kick off of its 9th Annual Food Drive benefiting the homeless and needy families in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Reno, Carson City and the Minden/Gardnerville areas. The Bank has teamed up with the Las Vegas Rescue Mission in southern Nevada, Elmcrest Elementary School in Reno, Friends In Service Helping (F.I.S.H.) in Carson City, and the Carson Valley Community Food Closet in the Minden and Gardnerville area to help feed a growing population of low-income families and individuals in these areas.
Beginning this week and running through December 21, the Bank will be collecting canned and dried food items from its employees and customers at its eight branch locations throughout Nevada.
