Lehman Trikes presents 2008 Good Turn Trike - Zibb.com

TSXV -- LHT

Lehman Trikes is proud to announce that the 2008 Good Turn Trike was presented to Jon Brough at Niehaus Cycle in Litchfield, Illinois on August 23, 2008. Earlier in the summer, Jon was selected as the recipient of Lehman Trikes' 2008 Good Turn Trike. Jon had been a policeman in Belleville, IL for 22 years when he was shot in the face while he and a group of fellow officers were attempting to arrest a murder suspect. Jon has been recognized and honored for his work as a policeman by national, state, regional and local law enforcement organizations. He has also been lauded for his outstanding community service work with organizations such as D.A.R.E and little league baseball.

Jon and his wife Wendy were motorcyclists long before his injury and often enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with fellow members of the Blue Knights. After Jon's injury, Wendy discontinued her 25 year career as a nurse to take care of Jon. For over 22 years, the couple has enjoyed a loving and caring relationship, which is evident by their words and actions. Since his injury, Jon has maintained his tremendous sense of humor and even makes jokes about Wendy being in the driver's seat of their new trike.

After the presentation, Jon was whisked away on the back of his new Monarch II trike arms raised in the air, sun and wind in his face, aglow with joy and happiness. Jon loudly and excitedly exclaimed, "I'm really livin' again!" The trike kit was installed by Niehaus Cycle on a brand new 2008 Honda GL1800 Gold Wing, funds for which were raised by members of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Illinois Chapter 14. Jon told a Lehman Trike representative and Blue Knights members at the presentation, "I can't thank everyone enough who has helped make this possible. I just hope that sometime down the line, I can help someone else like you have helped me."

Ken Hines, Executive Vice-President stated upon making the presentation, "It is a real pleasure to help get someone like Jon back on the road. Jon is a success on so many levels. He possesses remarkable self-worth, daily he exhibits tremendous courage, humility, and strength of character. He marches to the beat of his own happy drum. Jon invariably seems to give back more than he is given. It is indeed a pleasure to help someone of Jon's caliber who is so inspirational to others."

Lehman Trikes supports Riding for Smiles - Zibb.com

TSXV -- LHT

Lehman Trikes is proud to announce that it is supporting "Riding for Smiles." Riding for Smiles is one of those happy stories that occasionally gets into the news. Ken and Shannon Wilson of Dellwood, Minnesota are passionate about riding and decided that they could do something good for someone else at the same time. The Wilson's often discussed how some children never receive a present at Christmas and many others go to sleep at night without knowing from where their next meal will come. The Wilson's decided that they could bring smiles to some of these children's faces. They chose to raise money for the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) while riding over 8,000 miles in 30 days.

On July 25, 2008 they left their home in Minnesota. On July 29, 2008 they made a stop at Lehman Trikes in Spearfish, SD where a Lehman technician performed a thorough check up on Shannon's Lehman Trike. Additionally, the couple was presented a one thousand dollar ($1,000) check for UNICEF on the behalf of Lehman Trikes. Lehman Trikes is proud to be a part of the Wilson's journey and their cause, Riding for Smiles.

The Wilson's have a website www.ridingforsmiles.com which provides details about their trip, including satellite tracking which provides their exact location at any time during their journey. The Wilson's are also being sponsored by the Yamaha Star Touring and Riding Association and Rider Magazine in their national effort to raise money for UNICEF. Ken and Shannon, Lehman Trikes, and other sponsors ask all riders to organize their own Riding for Smiles rides for UNICEF. Contributions can be made through a secure website at www.unicef.org/support/index.html, then click on Donate Now.

Dan Patterson, CEO of Lehman Trikes stated, "What the Wilson's are doing is admirable. We are proud to sponsor their efforts in this great cause. It is a reminder that each of us can make a difference in a child's life by simply giving what we can."

Lehman Trikes Closes Westlock Facilities - Zibb.com

TSXV -- LHT

Lehman Trikes, Inc. announces that it will be closing its Westlock, Alberta, Canada fiberglass facility. The company states that due to a 25% increase in fuel and transportation costs, it is no longer financially viable to continue operations at the Westlock facility. The closure will affect all Canadian facilities now retained by Lehman Trikes, Inc. Lehman stated that employees working in the Westlock fiberglass facility will receive severance benefits.

Les Brown, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated, "Keeping this facility operational is no longer economically feasible. Fuel and transportation costs keep increasing to the point that we can no longer endorse further activity in Westlock. We wish to extend our sincerest appreciation to all employees for their loyalty and their many contributions made to Lehman's success over the years. We wish them all the best in the future."

Dan Patterson, President and CEO stated, "The decision to close the Westlock facility was difficult. However, the fiscal reality is that our customer base, financial resources, and logistical operations will benefit by this action. While we have experienced 26% revenue growth over last year, our profitability is down. This action is expected to increase our profitability for the benefit of all shareholders. Our Westlock employees have been dedicated to Lehman Trikes' success over the years and they should take pride in their contributions to our success. We wish them good luck in all their future endeavors."
