Omnicom Group's (NYSE: OMC) BBDO, DDB and TBWA won accolades for their outstanding work in China, garnering top honors at the various award shows held during the recent China International Advertising Festival in Nanning, China.
At the China Effies, BBDO China won the Best of Show and Best Idea for GE's Ecomagination campaign and a Silver for Visa's 2008 Beijing Olympics campaign, while TBWA\China won a Gold Effie for its work for McDonald's, as well as a Bronze for UNICEF. DDB Guoan, part of DDB China Group, clinched a Silver for Yili, and DDB China walked away with three Bronzes for Gatorade, Clean & Clear and McDonald's.
At the Great Wall Awards, BBDO scooped up three Silvers for Visa, Lay's and Mirinda, while DDB won a Silver and a Bronze for TIANTIAN Air Freshener, and two more Bronzes for Alteco and Gatorade. The Great Wall Awards, one of the most influential advertising awards presentations in China, recognize outstanding work published in different media.
BBDO also received a Gold at the China Automobile Advertising Awards for Mercedes Benz S-class and three Bronzes for Smart Launch, Smart Viral Park and Mercedes Benz SUV.
TBWA was recognized at the China Internet Advertising Awards with a Silver for McDonald's and two Bronzes for UNICEF and 42 Below.

Omnicom Group (OMC) was upgraded today by analysts at Argus Research and the stock is now at $36.16, down $0.08 (-0.22%) on volume of 1,088,487 shares traded. Argus Research upgraded the stock today to Buy from Hold after the company posted a 4.7 percent increase in its third-quarter profit. Unfortunately the bank also continues to deal with bad loans, with a 9.4% increase in nonperforming loans. Over the last 52 weeks the stock has ranged from a low of $20.09 in March to a high of $39.11 in earlier this week. Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC) today announced that its net income for the third quarter of 2009 decreased 22.5% to $165.6 million from $213.6 million in the third quarter of 2008. Omnicom's diluted net income per common share in the third quarter of 2009 decreased 22.1% to $0.53 per share from $0.68 per share in the third quarter of 2008.
Worldwide revenue decreased 14.4% to $2,837.6 million from $3,316.2 million in the third quarter of 2008. Domestic revenue for the third quarter of 2009 decreased 13.2% to $1,491.2 million compared to $1,718.0 million in the third quarter of 2008. International revenue decreased 15.8% to $1,346.4 million compared to $1,598.2 million in the third quarter of 2008.
Omnicom's net income for the nine months ended September 30, 2009 decreased 22.7% to $563.5 million from $729.3 million in the same period in 2008. Omnicom's diluted net income per common share for the nine months ended September 30, 2009 decreased 21.1% to $1.80 per share in 2009 from $2.28 per share in the same period in 2008.
Worldwide revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2009 decreased 15.4% to $8,454.9 million from $9,988.5 million in the same period in 2008. Domestic revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2009 decreased 11.4% to $4,548.0 million from $5,130.5 million in the same period in 2008. International revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2009 decreased 19.6% to $3,906.9 million from $4,858.0 million in the same period in 2008.
