The new MassARRAY Compact 96 system offers accuracy, sensitivity, and the ability to cost-effectively run fewer samples making this an ideal system for validation of candidate genetic markers in basic research and clinical research laboratories. As a result of the introduction of MassARRAY Compact 96 system, SQNM is beginning to see traction in clinical research settings, where its technology is ideally suited for the validation of candidate genetic markers.

"In September, SQNM fired its CEO and four others after an independent panel of directors found the Company failed to adequately police its studies of a noninvasive prenatal Down Syndrome test. The Company had been preparing to launch the Down syndrome test SEQureDx in June, but had to delay because of employee mishandling of test data and results. The independent investigation has been concluded and a new senior management team has been put in place. Currently, the Company is rigorously evaluating multiple RNA and DNA technologies for use in the development of its trisomy 21 (T21) test. In terms of clinical activities, SQNM is sponsoring three ongoing T21 studies."
