Viacom Goose, Google Gander

www.webpronews.com | Jul 16, 2008

The Viacom Google saga gets pretty sticky in terms of ironic and embarrassing potentialities. It's yet unknown how effective the anonymized data being transferred will be at protecting YouTube identities. Further, what looks like a coup for Viacom could be a nice strategic move on Google's part.

Hillary Clinton Valued Higher Than Barack Obama in New Stockpickr.com Facebook Application -

Stockpickr.com (www.stockpickr.com), the popular online stock idea network, today announced the launch of NameFolio, a Facebook application expected to increase brand awareness for Stockpickr among the Facebook community through a fun and easy-to-use tool that is viral in nature.

Adding the application to one's Facebook profile generates a mock portfolio - or, NameFolio -- containing 1000 shares of each company whose ticker symbol is found within the name of the account holder. From here, users can compete against their friends by determining the valuation of their names. For example, at market close yesterday, May 5, the name "Hillary Clinton" was a more valuable name than the name "Barack Obama" because of how the letters of Clinton's name match up with the tickers in her NameFolio.

See the example below:
