Tranzeo Receives US$5.4M Purchase Order for the Indonesian Market - Zibb.com

Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX: TZT), a premier manufacturer of wireless broadband and WiMAX communication systems has received the first volume production order targeted for Indonesian operators worth US$5.4M to Tranzeo.
PT. Teknologi Riset Global (TRG) in partnership with Tranzeo has developed a family of WiMAX solutions operating at 2.3GHz and 3.3GHz in support of the recently available spectrum in Indonesia. Several operators are in various stages of evaluating and deploying the TRG solution with full scale deployments expected to begin in Q1 2010. In support of the government's requirement to develop local telecommunications capability, the jointly developed products will be produced in Jakarta, Bandung and Batam, Indonesia.
The addition of the Indonesian purchase order increases Tranzeo's current backlog of all purchase orders for 2009 and 2010 to US$12.8M.

Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX:TZT), a premier manufacturer of wireless broadband and WiMAX communication systems and PT. Teknologi Riset Global (TRG), an affiliate company of leading telecommunication infrastructure provider the Indonesian Tower Group, have cooperated on the development of a family of WiMAX subscriber units that operate in the recently awarded 2.3GHz spectrum. The production units are intended for the operators that have licenses to the spectrum. This solution complements TRG's family of WiMAX product line operating in the 3.3GHz band.
The Indonesian Government announced in July that eight companies were awarded spectrum at 2.3GHz to provide a nationwide broadband network based on the 802.16d WiMAX standard. In support of the government's requirement to develop local telecommunications capability, the jointly developed products are being produced in Jakarta, Bandung and Batam, Indonesia.

Nostracom recently announced the selection of Aperto Networks for their fixed wireless network and as a result, Tranzeo's subscriber units will be used.
