Welch Foundation gives $5M to UT to create energy initiative

The Welch Foundation has granted $5 million over three years to The University of Texas at Austin’s Center for Electrochemistry to start a renewable energy initiative. The Houston-based foundation’s initiative will promote advances in solar and other renewable energy technologies.
