The Saab 9-3 “Viggen” was derived from the SAAB JA-37 Viggen jet fighter. Viggen means The Thunderbolt in Swedish, derived from the Norse god Thor’s warhammer Mjölner. As we know, the 1999 Saab 9-3 Viggen began as the Saab 900 Concept Coupe in 1995.
