IMEC optical sensing foils feel like artificial skin

The nanotechnology research centre IMEC says it will be possible to create foils that sense changes in pressure, and such skin-like foils could be used for monitoring irregular or moving surfaces, like in robots, pliable machinery, or as an artificial skin.
