Euroshares close lower as Wall Street eases; banks, earnings reports in focus

Europe's leading shares ended lower today, tracking weakness on Wall Street, with banks in focus after Bank of America numbers disappointed and amid UK cash calls moves, while investors also digested a big batch of earnings news.
At the close, the DJ STOXX 50 index was 32.63 points lower at 3,165.8, while the DJ STOXX 600 was down 3.73 points at 316.96.
On Wall Street, by Europe's close, the DJIA was 60.49 points lower at 12,788.87, while the S&P 500 index was off 7.07 points at 1,383.26, and the Nasdaq composite index down 3.84 points at 2,399.13. tf.TFN-Europe_newsdesk@thomson.com jmh/cmr
