du Announces Winners of Stand Activities at Deira City Centre and Mall of the Emirates Thirty winners get shopping vouchers worth AED 5500 each

du, the integrated telecom operator in the UAE has announced the names of the winners of its stand activities at Deira City Centre and Mall of the Emirates. The thirty lucky winners of the competition walked away with gift vouchers worth AED 5500 sponsored by du, at a function at the du Outlet at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) yesterday. The vouchers can be redeemed at outlets across Deira City Centre and Mall of the Emirates.

During the period 12 July to 22 August 2008, du organised a variety of competitions at its stands at Deira City Centre and Mall of the Emirates. Five winners were chosen in weekly Raffle draws held during the period, under the supervision of the Dubai Economic Department. In order to be eligible for the draw, customers had to correctly answer at least one question from the assortment of multiple-choice questions.

Congratulating the winners, Hala Badri, EVP Corporate Communication, du, said: "du adds life to life in various forms and our various stand activities proved to be a huge crowd-puller this year. The high level of enthusiasm and participation across all age groups was truly infectious and overwhelming. My heartiest congratulations go to the deserving lucky winners for their efforts."

Marcelo Jay-ARR Enero, du customer and one of the winners of the raffle draw said: "I am delighted I won, as the quiz at the du stand was challenging and I really wanted to win it! I want to celebrate this moment with my entire family, since most of them use du mobile lines not just for making calls but for all their other services as well."

Another winner, eleven years' old Reehana Dakkar expressed her happiness by saying: "It was an exciting competition which I completed with help from my father. I want to participate in all du competitions." Her father Jafar Dakkar added, "These kinds of activities make customers more aware about du services in a fun and interesting way."

The du stand activities at Deira City Centre and Mall of the Emirates were aligned with the overall theme of DSS - shopping, winning and entertainment. Some of the popular games that captured the imagination of visitors include Maze, Buzz Wire, Hook a du logo and Skittles.
