High profile ICT workshop ends in Dhaka

Speakers at a closing ceremony of a 3-day national workshop on Wednesday underscored the need for speedy development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Bangladesh.
Held at the conference room of the Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO (BNCU) at city?s Nilkhet area, the workshop on ?Use of ICTs in the Field of entrenching the Value of Dialogue and Human Rights in the Minds and Acts of Leadership? was organized by BNCU with collaboration of the Islamic Education, Science and Cultural affairs organization (ISESCU).
Communication Secretary Dr Md Mahbubur Rahman spoke as the chief guest in the closing ceremony and distributed certificates to some 60 participants of the workshop.
Chaired by Additional Secretary of Education Ministry Md Mozammel Haque, the programme was also addressed, among others, by Zonal Director of ISESCU Dr Abbas Sadree, UNB Editor Golam Tahaboor and secretary of BNCU Dr Md Mahmudul Hasan.
The participants of the workshop included university professors, principals and vice-principals of different government colleges as well as senior government and private officials of Dhaka and other parts of the country.
