Comverse, a supplier of software and systems, has announced that T-Systems in Italy, the business customer brand of Deutsche Telekom, has deployed its IPCentrex solution to deliver hosted business services to Interporto Campano, a transportation hub in the Naples region of southern Italy.
According to Comverse, by using its converged IPCentrex solution, service providers from different markets can tap into the higher average revenue per user business market and provide the full range of communication services, including mobility with dual-mode Wi-Fi/cellular devices, voice, video, SMS, presence/IM and a network address book, at a fraction of the cost of legacy PBX systems.
Federico Protto, head of telecommunication services of T-Systems in Italy, said: "The Comverse Converged IPCentrex solution has enabled us to gain a reputation as one of the most innovative providers of Class 5 telephony-over-IP and wireless services for large, medium and small enterprises in Italy."
