AfterCollege and PhD Comics Partner to Bring Jobs to Graduate Students in Academia

AfterCollege, Inc., the largest career network for college students and alumni, and Piled Higher and Deeper (PhD) Comics, the largest comic publication for graduate students, today announced a partnership that will bring jobs from employers on the AfterCollege network to Master's and PhD students who subscribe to PhD Comics. PhD publishes a nationally syndicated comic strip with a readership of more than 2,800,000 annually.

The new site, labeled "Grad Student Jobs" will be powered by AfterCollege and located at http://www.phdcomics.com/jobs/. Employers on the AfterCollege network will be able to reach a large audience of Master's students, PhDs and Post-Docs in disciplines such as engineering, life sciences and finance. At the same time, the new site will allow universities to post their post-doctorate, faculty and research positions and to distribute these opportunities to other universities in the AfterCollege network.

"Our partnership with AfterCollege gives our audience an additional resource for them to evaluate their options as they embark on their careers, whether it's in academia or in industry," said Jorge Cham, author of PhD Comics. "We chose AfterCollege because of its unique approach to online recruiting and its reputation of working with faculty and academic departments."

"We are excited to be working with PhD Comics," said Roberto Angulo, CEO of AfterCollege. "PhD Comics is one of the largest student publications in the country, and enjoys a tremendous following among the graduate community. We look forward to delivering relevant, high quality opportunities from both industry and academia to this audience of over-achievers."
