Embraer selects Accenture and Servigistics to implement SPM solution

Accenture, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has announced that Embraer, an airplane manufacturer, and Servigistics, a provider of strategic service management solutions, have partnered with the company for the implementation of a Service Parts Management solution.
The system will help Brazil-based Embraer to accelerate deliveries of spare parts, reduce associated costs, improve planning and improve customer service.
Accenture will provide Embraer with supply chain systems integration services and expertise, process design capabilities, spare-parts capability enhancement services, and training. Servigistics will provide its Service Parts Management (SPM) software solution and professional services to automate and improve Embraer's service parts planning techniques.
Embraer will use the Servigistics Service Parts Management solution across several locations worldwide. The system will be implemented throughout Embraer's entire fleet on the commercial, defense and executive aviation markets.
