Russian prosecutor's office says TNK-BP head not summoned for questioning

The Moscow prosecutor's office has said that there is no need for TNK-BP head Robert Dudley to attend [to answer questions on Monday 28 July].
"Having studied the materials of the check carried out in relation to president of open joint-stock company TNK-BP Management, Robert Dudley, the prosecutor's office of Moscow reports that there are no grounds for him to be brought to administrative responsibility for violating employment and migration legislation," an employee of the press office told Interfax.
According to him, "no decision to commence proceedings against him (Robert Dudley Interfax) was taken. As a result of this, there is no need for Dudley to appear at the prosecutor's office of Moscow's central administrative district to provide explanations".
The press office did not send any information to the media about Dudley being summoned to the prosecutor's office, the spokesman added.
Meanwhile, earlier today TNK-BP spokesman Vladimir Bobylev confirmed to Interfax the receipt of a letter from the prosecutor's office of Moscow's central administrative district, in which Dudley or his representative was summoned for a meeting with the public prosecutor on Monday [28 July].
"Since TNK-BP head Dudley has left [Russia], his representative will attend the meeting with the public prosecutor," said Bobylev.
In the notification from the prosecutor's office of Moscow's central administrative district which was sent to Dudley, he was summoned on Monday 28 July to examine the issue of administrative violations in TNK-BP Mangement. The letter was signed by public prosecutor Vladimir Kutov.
