PROS Holdings 1Q net earnings in line with analyst expectations

PROS Holdings Inc. late Thursday reported net earnings of $2.57 million, or 10 cents a share, in line with the mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
Net income in the prior-year period was $2.3 million, or 11 cents a share.
On an adjusted basis the company posted first-quarter earnings of $3.16 million, or 12 cents a share, versus $2.38 million, or 11 cents a share, a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 rose to $17.9 million from $13.5 million a year earlier, versus the mean Street view of $17.7 million.
The Houston-based provider of pricing and revenue optimization software sees second-quarter net earnings of 7 cents to 8 cents a share and an adjusted profit of 10 cents a share on revenue of $18.3 million to $18.5 million.
It expects full-year net earnings of 35 cents to 37 cents a share and an adjusted profit of 45 cents to 47 cents a year on revenue of $76 million to $78 million.
Analysts were expecting second-quarter earnings of 10 cents on revenue of $18.4 million and a full-year profit of 45 cents on revenue of $77.4 million.
The stock closed the regular session down 27 cents at $12.47 but rose 9% to $13.59 in after-hours trading. Brigid Gaffikin bg/gm
