Rutter Hinz Awarded Contract for Offshore Nova Scotia

Rutter Inc. (TSX: RUT) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Rutter Hinz Inc. has been awarded the contract by Single Buoy Moorings Inc.(SBM) to supply engineering and procurement services for the telecommunications systems at EnCana Corporation's Deep Panuke project. Total value of the contract is in excess of $2 million.

Rutter Hinz will be responsible for the complete design, engineering and construction of all the telecommunications systems for the Deep Panuke Production Field Centre, located offshore Nova Scotia, Canada, including Satellite, Radio (VHF/UHF, Aeronautical, and Microwave), Networking, Navigation, Weather, as well as the Global Maritime Distress Safety System (GMDSS). The contract is due to be completed by the spring of 2009.

"Rutter Hinz's involvement in the project will also include the interface to the Production Field Centre's shutdown systems," stated Trent Clow, Regional Manager for Rutter Hinz Inc. in the Maritimes. "We will also design and supply the closed circuit television (CCTV) system used for monitoring the offshore production facilities," he noted.
