PayPal to refund more victims of EBS collapse

EBay Australia & New Zealand subsidiary PayPal Australia is reimbursing customers affected by the collapse of EBS International. A major eBay trader, EBS entered liquidation in July 2008, affecting thousands of customers. EBay's policy of not conducting 100-point identity checks for buyers and sellers was queried by ABC TV's "7.30 Report". EBay said looking at an accountholders' online activity is the best way to avoid fraud. Competitors Oztion and Trading Post say a 100-point identity check is essential.
