Unisys appoints vice president and general manager

Unisys, a provider of IT services, has appointed Matti Viljo as vice president and general manager for its Continental Europe region.

In this role, Mr Viljo will be responsible for overall management of operations in this region, including driving sales, services and client satisfaction across all industries and business units in Continental Europe.

Mr Viljo has nearly 30 years of experience in technology sales and operational experience to Unisys. He joins Unisys from TietoEnator, where he was executive vice president and president of banking and insurance. Mr Viljo also spent eight years with Oracle as managing director of Oracle Finland, where he was successful in growing its business in that country, and as vice president of application sales for Oracle's northern Europe region.

Luis Dominguez, vice president and general manager of worldwide regional operations at Unisys, said: "Matti brings to Unisys a wealth of expertise in the information technology industry. His management skills and sales leadership will be instrumental in helping Unisys grow our business in this important region."
