MASS Petroleum Inc. Announces Appointment of New President and Chief Executive Officer

MASS Petroleum Inc. ("MASS") (OTCBB:MASP) is pleased to announce that Mr. Oleg Bilinski has replaced Mr. Gary Chayko as President and CEO of MASS. MASS has accepted the resignation of Gary Chayko as President and CEO and appointed Mr. Bilinski, an existing Director of MASS, to fill the positions. Mr. Chayko's resignation was not due to any disagreement with MASS and Mr. Chayko has accepted a position on MASS's Advisory Board.

Mr. Bilinski brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to his role as President and CEO of MASS. Combining this with his strong relationship with Ural Transneft's existing management team, his experience conducting business in Russia and Eastern Europe, his extensive experience in global capital markets and his proven institutional financing capabilities, Mr. Bilinski's value will be extensive both to MASS and to its shareholders.

Mr. Bilinski graduated from Lviv State University in Ukraine with a degree in chemistry and biology. Mr. Bilinski has also completed the geology, prospecting and mineral exploration course at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, Canada.
