Ford Motor names Stephen Odell president, CEO of Volvo Car Corp.

NEW YORK, Sep 02, 2008 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- By Staff Reporter

Companies: Ford Motor Co. (F), Volvo AB (VOLVY)

Ford Motor Co. Tuesday named Stephen Odell president and chief executive officer of its Volvo Car Corp. unit, effective Oct. 1.

Odell is currently Ford's chief operating officer. He succeeds Fredrik Arp, who is leaving the company.

Shares of Ford closed Friday at $4.46. Ryan Vlastelica rv/cm
