ArrowSpan Bolsters Wireless Mesh Portfolio
ArrowSpan, a provider of switching wireless mesh solutions, is introducing the MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz, an addition to its wireless mesh portfolio.
According to company officials, the MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz edition is designed to provide switching wireless Wi-Fi access for outdoor communities, such as camp sites, RV parks, city parks and campuses, where heavy foliage may interfere with wireless coverage.
ArrowSpan's MeshAP 3800-A9 is a triple RFs switching wireless mesh access point that uses dual 900MHz radios for backhaul connection, a dedicated 802.11b/g radio for client connection, and a specialized radio that surveys the environment constantly to maintain the optimum path for each node.
"With this breakthrough switching wireless design, ArrowSpan can penetrate surrounding foliage and extend the distance coverage with 3Mbps to 6Mbps throughput and unlimited hop counts because of no performance degradation," said Max Lu, president and CEO of ArrowSpan. "Our MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz edition gives service providers the ability to rapidly deploy dependable wireless networks in parks, campgrounds and campuses."
