Landrieu to Chair Hearing on Impact of Manufacturing Closures on Local Small Businesses

On Tuesday, April 14, United States Senator Mary Landrieu, D-La., Chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, will hold a hearing in northern Louisiana entitled "Manufacturing Closures in North Louisiana: Impact on Small Businesses and Local Communities." North Louisiana manufacturing plant closures have cost the region more than 2,000 direct jobs in the last year alone. Sen. Landrieu will tour areas of north Louisiana that have experienced plant closures before the hearing. Witnesses will include local, state and federal officials.
