Altera's Stratix IV FPGA Wins Innovation of the Year Award

Altera Corp. announced its 40-nm Stratix IV FPGAs were honored at the 19th annual EDN Innovation Awards ceremony, taking home two of the awards.
Stratix IV FPGAs received an EDN Innovation Award in the "Programmable Logic" category, which recognize device innovations that result in an advance in technology. The Stratix IV 40-nm design team took top honors at the awards ceremony, receiving the "Innovator of the Year" award for their product design and technical leadership.
"Receiving two EDN Innovation Awards is a tremendous honor, and we are grateful to the readers of EDN magazine and its editorial staff for recognizing Stratix IV FPGAs and our 40-nm design team with these awards," said Vince Hu, VP of product and corporate marketing at Altera Corp. "Delivering the industry's first 40-nm FPGA family is not a trivial task. These awards validate Altera's investment and hard work in developing the most advanced FPGA family in the industry."
Winners of EDN's 19th Annual Innovation Awards were announced in a ceremony at the Embedded Systems Conference on March 30 in San Jose, Calif.
