President leaves for Singapore for medical checkup

President Zillur Rahman left here for Singapore tonight (Wednesday night) for his medical checkup at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
A regular flight of Singapore Airlines carrying the President took off from the Zia International Airport (ZIA) at 11.55 pm.
Family members of the President, Secretary to the President?s Office Mohammad Shafiul Alam, Military Secretary to the President Brig Gen Md Ehtesham Ul Haque and President?s personal Physician Brig Gen Sayedur Rahman are accompanying the President.
This is Zillur Rahman?s first trip abroad after his election as President. He would return home on April 15.
Ministers, the dean of diplomatic corps, cabinet secretary, diplomats, the chiefs of the three services and senior civil and military officials saw the President off at the airport.
