Blue Coat hosts Middle East partner conference

Blue Coat Systems, Inc., the technology leader in Application Delivery Networking, recently hosted a highly-successful Middle East channel partner conference at the Atlantis Resort, the Palm, in Dubai, U.A.E. The event was open to all Blue Coat reseller partners in the Middle East and Africa region.

At the conference, Blue Coat launched its Application Delivery Network vision for combining application visibility, acceleration and security to drive the efficiency of business processes across the entire distributed enterprise, while providing protection from malicious content and maximizing the potential of a business' existing network. The conference helped its channel partners understand how to meet customer needs for Application performance monitoring, WAN optimization, and Secure Web Gateway technologies through a comprehensive Application Delivery Network solution that provides immediate return on investment to customers. The three-day event provided a combination of keynote presentations, business and technical breakout sessions and roundtables led by the Blue Coat team and industry leaders. The IT solution providers and partners learnt techniques to maximize sales revenues and profitability.

"Blue Coat unveiled a detailed overview of the company's vision and strategy," according to Nidal Taha, Middle East Regional Director of Blue Coat Systems. "This gave our partners an inside look at the Blue Coat technology direction, and several new marketing resources and channel programs that will be launched later in 2009." "Blue Coat is a partner-centric company and our aim in 2009 is to continue to fortify our partnerships and strengthen our value proposition to our customers," he added. "This conference provided an opportunity to work closer with our partners and establish an open dialogue with them that will be mutually beneficial." During the conference, Blue Coat announced the winners of Blue Coat Top Performance Awards 2008.

"We are excited about the launch of our Application Delivery Network vision and strategy in the Middle East, as many customers have come to understand that fast, reliable access to information is critical to the success of their companies," said Nigel Hawthorn, vice president of EMEA Marketing, Blue Coat Systems. "This year's conference gave our resellers and partners a thorough understanding of the extensive innovations that Application Delivery Network solutions can deliver to their customers to contain costs, enhance productivity and respond to changing business requirements."
