According to a Bloomberg report, credit card issuer Discover Financial Services (NYSE:DFS) plans to cut 500 jobs, or 4% of its workforce, in May. The report indicated that the job cuts will be focused on its headquarters located in Riverwoods, Illinois. Shares of Discover Financial Services have fallen more than 55% over the past year, and are currently trading 7.2% lower, to $7.84.
