McAfee to Present Keynote at RSA Conference 2009

McAfee, Inc. announced that Dave DeWalt, president and CEO, will give a keynote speech on McAfee's vision for the future of security at the RSA Conference 2009.

A series of McAfee executives will lead multiple presentations and panel discussions throughout the conference, with topics ranging from cybercrime trends to the challenges that customer face when considering vendor consolidation.

McAfee said it will host RSA attendees in a pavilion comprised of two side-by-side experiences. At the McAfee Solution Pavilion, McAfee representatives will demonstrate solutions for data protection, network and endpoint security, cloud technologies and services all within an interactive environment.

At the event, McAfee said it will discuss current issues affecting the security industry, including the challenges of fighting cybercrime, trends in cloud computing and the role of security during a down economy. McAfee speakers and presentations include:

- Dave DeWalt, president and CEO of McAfee will discuss McAfee's vision for the future of digital security during a keynote session on Wednesday, April 22 at 4:10 p.m.

- Dmitri Alperovitch, VP of threat research at McAfee will discuss "Is There a Cyber Cold War?" on Tuesday, April 21 at 1:30 p.m.

- George Kurtz, senior VP and general manager and Stuart McClure, VP of operations for McAfee's Risk and Compliance Business Unit will co-present "Hacking Exposed 2009 - The Next Generation" on Tuesday, April 21 at 1:30 p.m.

- Phyllis Schneck, VP of cyber intelligence at McAfee will participate on the panel "Expert Stories: Cross-Sector Cyber Security Events and Drastic Consequences" on Tuesday, April 21 at 1:30 p.m.

- Timothy Vo, VP of engineering at McAfee will discuss "New Horizons in Network Security, 360 degrees Visibility" on Tuesday, April 21 at 2:30 p.m.

- David Coffey, manager product security and Carl Banzhof, VP of Technology Strategy at McAfee will co-present on "Mobile and Could Computing - What's the Forecast?" on Tuesday, April 21 at 4:10 p.m.

- Joe Gottlieb, VP of corporate strategy and technology alliances at McAfee will present "Security Innovation: Stepping on the Challenges to Reach for the Future" on Tuesday, April 21 at 5:40 p.m.

- Dmitri Alperovitch, VP of threat research at McAfee will present "Fighting Russian Cybercrime Mobsters" Report from the Trenches" on Wednesday, April 22 at 10:40 a.m.

- Jeff Green, senior VP of McAfee Avert Labs will participate in a panel on "Application Whitelisting and Blacklisting: Competitive or Complementary?" on Thursday, April 23 at 9:10 a.m.

- Dmitri Alperovitch, VP of threat research at McAfee will present on a panel entitled "Web Security Bake-Off: Securing Web 2.0" on Thursday, April 23 at 10:40 a.m.

- Pamela Warren, cybercrime strategist at McAfee will present "Cybercrime: The Identity Theft Enforcement and Restitution Act and Beyond" on Thursday, April 23 at 10:40 a.m.

- Dave DeWalt, president and CEO of McAfee will participate on a panel discussing "Law Enforcement and Industry Fighting Cyber Threats, Today and Tomorrow" on Thursday, April 23 at 2:10 p.m.

- George Kurtz, senior VP and general manager of McAfee's Risk and Compliance Business Unit and Charles Ross, director of federal sales engineering at McAfee will present "Fact or Fiction: Security Metrics can Boost Compliance Efforts" on Friday, April 24 at 9 a.m.

- Ahmed Sallam, chief software architect at McAfee will explore "Windows Code Shredded" on Friday, April 24 at 9 a.m.

On April 22, from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., McAfee and FishNet will also be hosting an event titled, "5 Ways In--Protecting from Every Angle," at the W San Francisco Hotel, directly across from the convention center. This event will focus on the five key security risks that small to medium businesses face, the rise of cyber crime in this economic climate, and how to manage security in 15 minutes a day to get the most out of limited IT resources and budgets.
