Apr 17, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Zenoss, a provider of enterprise network and systems management, announced that it is a founding member of the Open Source Channel Alliance.
Led by Red Hat, the alliance program includes commercial open source software vendors, including: Alfresco, Enterprise DB, Ingres, Jaspersoft, Likewise, Pentaho, Zmanda, and Zenoss. Through the alliance, Zenoss has signed a distribution agreement with Synnex to distribute and market Zenoss' portfolio of network and systems monitoring solutions.
"Organizations world-wide are looking for proven software solutions that allow them to move their businesses forward while saving money. The Open Source Channel Alliance will help connect customers with trusted open source vendors who consistently deliver value," said Bill Karpovich, CEO, Zenoss.
The Open Source Channel Alliance is aimed at delivering high value open source technologies to a large base of Value Added Resellers (VARs) and System Integrators (SIs) through expanded partnerships with Synnex, a business process services company, servicing resellers and original equipment manufacturers.
"Our channel partners and their customers will benefit tremendously from the Open Source Channel Alliance because, together with the founding members, we can offer multiple end-to-end solutions in open source," said Bob Stegner, Senior Vice President, Marketing, North America at Synnex. "Open source solutions, like the Zenoss offering, empower VARs, SIs and end customers with the freedom of choice without the fear of vendor lock-in."
Zenoss Enterprise is available through the Synnex partner network.
