Idea Cellular Deploying Veraz's Media Gateway

Veraz Networks, a provider of Multimedia Generation Network application, control, and bandwidth optimization products, announced that Idea Cellular, a GSM mobile services operator, has deployed a range of Veraz's I-Gate 4000 EDGE systems in its network.
Idea Cellular, a GSM mobile service provider in India, with over 41 million subscribers, is using the I-Gate 4000 EDGE media gateway to provide cost-optimized, high-quality transmission links between selected nodes.
"Veraz's I-Gate 4000 EDGE media gateway provides Idea with a highly reliable, cost-efficient interconnection solution," said Anil Tandan, Group CTO, Idea Cellular.
