Artisan Precast Supports the Environment with its Eco-Friendly Precast Concrete Products

Artisan Precast, a leading producer and distributor of precast concrete products excitedly announces using precast concrete can help reduce your carbon footprint (http://www.artisanprecast.com/). Precast concrete, concrete poured into forms, allowed to harden, and then shipped as panels to a job site, is becoming increasingly more popular among jobs that are going "green". Precast concrete panels offer flexibility to meet any job size. They take less time to produce then regular concrete projects and can use up to 60 percent recycled cementitious products. They are installed using a post and panel system, which allows some flexibility as to where the posts are positioned.

On the other hand, a traditional block or brick wall will require a set number of units of a standardized size. This lack of adaptability and set thickness of the blocks means that no thought can be given to reducing the size. There is also mortar required which is set by the job's needs and really can't be reduced.

Then there is the structure of the wall itself. Given the smaller profile of the wall and the capacity to be adapted to the lay of the land, there is less impact on the immediate environment than a traditional wall. The leveling and the size of the footing needed for a cinder block wall just isn't a concern for a precast concrete fence.

Precast concrete can also take the place of wood rail fences. It can be aesthetically manipulated during the manufacturing process to take on the outer appearance of wood. Add to this that there are no trees to be sacrificed to make this type of fence, you have a very eco-friendly option for large scale fencing. The trees can remain a part of the natural system to reduce the carbon in the air, while the fencing needs of the job are being fulfilled.
