Tallwood Venture Capital to invest $42 million in Ikanos Communications

Tallwood Venture Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in semiconductor and semiconductor-related technologies, has agreed to acquire 24 million shares of Ikanos Communications, Inc., a provider of silicon and software for interactive broadband, at a price of $1.75 per share for a total consideration of $42 million. Both the parties are based in the US.

In addition, Tallwood Venture will receive warrants to acquire an additional 7.8 million shares of common stock at $1.75 per share.

Upon completion of the transactions, Tallwood Venture will own approximately 45% of the outstanding shares of Ikanos.
