Atex, a provider of print and digital solutions for media companies, announced that SevenOne Intermedia, the multimedia company of ProSiebenSat.1 Group in Germany, has chosen Atex's Polopoly Web Content Management solution to power its TV Online sites.
ProSiebenSat.1 Media is a fully integrated pan-European media group with free and pay TV, radio, print and internet activities operating in 13 European countries. With its four stations (Sat.1, ProSieben, kabel eins, and N24), the Group is Germany's largest provider of commercial television, with a strong market position in free TV in other countries as well. Additionally, it operates several radio networks all over Europe.
SevenOne Intermedia chose the Polopoly system as the future platform for digital development after an exhaustive evaluation. Atex said that the new system will allow the ProSiebenSat.1 subsidiary to manage a vast range of online services with a minimum of editors. With the easy-to-use automatic website generation features of the Polopoly platform, new digital properties can be created on demand to maximize the reach and viewer engagement for SevenOne Intermedia's full range of content.
"This contract further strengthens our position within the broadcasting industry," said Gustaf Sahlman, CEO Atex Polopoly. "We view this deal as a powerful sign that Polopoly really is the system of choice for forward-looking media organizations, and that the Web CMS is becoming an increasingly important part of the puzzle for all digital content distribution."
