Detector Announces Filing of Annual Disclosures

Detector Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DEX) announces that Detector has filed (through SEDAR) Detector's annual materials including:

(a) a proxy statement and information circular,

(b) annual report (including management discussion & analysis),

(c) annual audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2008,

(d) Statement of Reserves Data and Other Oil & Gas Information (in Form 51-101 F1).

Copies of all of these materials are available for viewing by electronic means from the SEDAR web site (www.sedar.com).

Detector is an oil and gas corporation whose shares are listed for trading on TSX Venture Exchange Inc. under the symbol DEX.

As of April 29, 2009 Detector has outstanding 11,918,701 Common Shares, and 590,000 options to acquire Common Shares. Additionally, Detector has determined that Detector's "public float" (the number of shares outstanding not held by directors, officers, promoters, 10% shareholders or their affiliates, spouses, and other associates and not under any hold period or escrow restrictions) is 5,589,752 based on information provided to Detector by its insiders.
