Tonbridge Power Names Veteran Power Executive to Its Board of Directors

Tonbridge Power Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TBZ), ("Tonbridge Power" or the "Company"), 100% controlling shareholder of the Montana Alberta Tie Ltd. ("MATL") transmission line project to interconnect the electricity markets of Alberta and the US through a 300 MW transmission line is pleased to announce that Walter E. Pollock, a Northwest energy expert and former executive with the Bonneville Power Administration and the Oregon Department of Energy, has been named a member of the board of directors of Tonbridge Power Inc.

Pollock, who has more than four decades experience in energy issues, has advised a broad variety of clients including utilities, the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), the Northwest Power Planning and Conservation Council and the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs.

Prior to that, he served as a senior vice president for Portland General Electric Co., from 1996 to 2001, and served in various positions at Bonneville from 1979 to 1996, including Group Vice President where he was responsible for BPA's power and transmission businesses.

Pollock also served for nine years with the Oregon Department of Energy. He began his energy career in 1964 with the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission-Naval Reactors, where he managed the design, development and procurement of components for nuclear propulsion plants for U.S. Navy vessels.

"We are fortunate to be able to attract someone with Mr. Pollock's experience and expertise." said Johan van't Hof, CEO of Tonbridge Power. "He brings with him a wealth of knowledge about energy issues that will give us much valuable guidance as we move forward with the growth of this company, particularly as North America moves rapidly to build out its transmission infrastructure."

Pollock said he has followed the MATL developments closely, and the invitation to join the board of directors was an offer he could not pass up.

"I'm pleased to have the opportunity to take part in Tonbridge's very interesting and challenging business opportunities," he said. "The MATL project is a one-of-a-kind for Montana and Alberta and can be a model for an exciting future."

Tonbridge Power is a Toronto-based developer of electrical transmission assets, whose principal asset is a 100% interest in MATL. Shares of the Company are traded on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol "TBZ".
