ESI Grows Revenue, Expands Reseller Network and Adds New Director

E.S.I. Environmental Sensors Inc. (ESI) (TSX VENTURE:ESV), today announced an increase in revenues for the fourth quarter of Fiscal 2009 of more than 500% over the same period in the prior fiscal year and almost 60% over the third quarter to approximately $400,000 (unaudited). Significantly, the bulk of this revenue was achieved by sales of the new GroPoint(TM) Wireless System and software that was not available until the month of March 2009.

The majority of Q4-2009 sales went to existing and newly appointed Resellers and Distributors, channels where ESI expects to see recurring activity. ESI is pleased to add Lodi Irrigation, Stearns Irrigation and Netatech as distributors and resellers of ESI's GroPoint(TM) product line in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, to the Massachusetts Cranberry Industry and in Singapore respectively.

"The release of our next generation GroPoint(TM) Wireless system and continued expansion of our distribution and reseller network has provided increasing momentum for our sales channels. Our strategy is continuing to take shape and pay dividends in the form of increased, recurring revenue from trusted partners," said David Porter, ESI's Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Further details on the Company's fourth quarter and annual financial performance for Fiscal 2009 will be available with the release of the Company's audited annual financial statements in late July 2009.

In addition to the positive financial results of the fourth quarter, ESI is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Nicolas G. Loebel to its Board of Directors. Dr. Loebel is the President and Chief Technology Officer of Ondine Biopharma Corporation. Dr. Loebel holds a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering and Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering, all from the University of Washington (Seattle, Washington), and has authored several publications and patents. His research background includes fibre optic waveguide propagation theory, interferometric sensors and photodynamic disinfection technologies. Dr. Loebel brings a wealth of relevant technical and business knowledge to ESI with over 20 years of experience in engineering, product manufacturing, corporate management, and finance and business development in the public market environment.

Edwin William Mitchell has stepped down as a Director of the Board in order to focus his efforts on his private business affairs. The Company is thankful for the service Mr. Mitchell has provided, lending his expertise in guiding the Company through much change over the past two years. Mr. Mitchell will remain closely tied to the Company acting in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors.
