Marani Brands, Inc. (OTCBB: MRIB) is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a sponsor of the "Rock the Runway" festival. The much-anticipated annual event will be held on May 2, 2009 from 3pm to 7pm and will be located at 3601 Sunflower Ave in Santa Ana, CA.
Rock the Runway is a fashion, art and music festival hosted by the Art Institute of California -- Orange County. The festival highlights the creative programs available at The Art Institute of California -- Orange County, while raising money for the Education Management Scholarship Foundation. The Education Management Scholarship Foundation distributes scholarships to students at The Art Institutes system of schools. This year over $600,000 worth of scholarships will be distributed to incoming students.
Rock the Runway combines the glamour of fashion, the sophistication of art, and the fierce, pulsating sounds of rock and roll to create of the most anticipated annual events in Southern California. Proceeds of the event will be used to help raise scholarships for students at the Art Institute. Rock the Runway has historically hosted some of the region's most promising upcoming artists, musicians, and fashion designers. The exciting annual event is attended by some of the most renowned celebrities and influential figures in the worlds of fashion, art, and music.
In addition to the fashion show, the event will feature music by prominent disc jockeys DJ Nicky Savage and DJ Albert, along with performances by two of LA's premier up-coming rock bands, End Roulette and Metroid. Hailing from the underground rock scene in LA and around the nation, End Roulette and Metroid are both set for a breakout year in 2009. End Roulette is currently recording their second EP, with plans to release a full-length album by the end of the year. Metroid will soon be releasing a split single with the band Electric Valentine this Spring. The band's first full-length album is projected for release in fall, 2009.
