Sika successfully places bond issue

Baar (Switzerland) - Sika AG successfully placed today a 5-year bond issue in the Swiss capital market with an amount of CHF 300 million and a coupon of 3.5% per annum. The payment date of the bond is June 4, 2009. The issue was placed under the lead management of UBS. The net proceeds of the transaction will serve the company's long-term, general financing.
