Deltek Insight 2009 Concludes After Resounding Success

Deltek, Inc. (NASDAQ: PROJ), the leading provider of enterprise applications software for project-focused businesses, today concluded its annual Insight Conference in Orlando, FL and announced plans to hold next year's conference at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center located in National Harbor, MD near Washington, DC.

Insight 2009 featured approximately 3,000 business leaders and partner attendees representing thousands of unique organizations. Representatives from small, project-based firms to large, multi-national organizations came together at Insight to share ideas, learn best practices, network and attend educational sessions on Deltek's portfolio of project-based software solutions. In addition, executives from government contractors and architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) companies descended on Orlando to take part in Deltek's signature event "The Stimulus & Beyond: Navigating the Brave New World."

At Insight 2009, Deltek announced the release of Vision 6.0 and the general availability of Vision Performance Management. Both solutions work together to turn data into knowledge for professional services firms that want to better monitor and manage their business. Deltek also announced the release of GovWin 6.0, and the June 2009 releases of Cobra 5.0 and Premier Analytics. GovWin 6.0 helps government contractors manage the entire business development process from automated lead generation and pipeline tracking, to managing proposals and customer relationships. Cobra 5.0 provides tight control over project costs and offers the ability to easily calculate and report on earned value. The new solution helps organizations manage project and program performance. Premier Analytics, a new solution for GCS Premier customers, empowers government contracting executives to monitor, manage and measure their business.

The first full day of the conference featured a keynote address from Kevin Parker, President and CEO of Deltek. The schedule on Wednesday also included a presentation by Amelia Ruzzo, Vice President of Business and Information Systems at ATK, a Deltek customer and premier aerospace and defense company with more than 19,000 employees worldwide. Amelia outlined how her company has driven enterprise transformation inside ATK using Deltek software. Finally, the general session concluded with Astronaut and American Hero Jerry Linenger, who vividly described his experiences successfully managing a five month mission aboard the Russian Mir space station, one of the most dangerous and dramatic missions in space history.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the "Stimulus & Beyond" event occurred in parallel with the Insight 2009 program. At this event, attendees heard from numerous experts - including former Congressman Tom Davis and McGraw-Hill Construction President Norbert Young - who provided the complete picture on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and discussed where the government spending will occur and how firms need to adapt to win business.

During the show, attendees also had the opportunity to tour the Solutions Pavilion where over 30 technology companies, including IBM, Lumigent, and Aronson & Company, displayed their solutions to the approximately 3,000 Insight registrants.
