Mercury Therapeutics licenses AMP-activated protein kinase activators to Millipore

Mercury Therapeutics, Inc., a developer of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activators, has signed a worldwide exclusive license agreement with Millipore Corporation, a life science company, for the rights to Mercury Therapeutics' human AMPK in the field of research products and services. Both the partners are based in the US.

Under the terms of the agreement, Mercury Therapeutics would receive an upfront license fee, royalties on net sales, and sharing of all sublicense revenue for the life of the agreement. Mercury Therapeutics originally licensed the AMPK patent in 2000 from Dartmouth College.

Katan Associates acted as advisor to Mercury Therapeutics on this transaction.
