Rimini Street Offers Support for SAP Products, Inks First SAP Clients

Rimini Street, Inc., a third-party maintenance and support provider for Oracle Corp.'s Siebel, PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards software, announced the launch and immediate availability of its support services for SAP AG products and the signing of its first SAP clients.
Rimini Street is initially offering support for the SAP R/3 4.x, ECC 5.0, ECC 6.0, and BW 3.5 and earlier releases used by a significant portion of SAP licensees around the world, the company noted.

Support services for SAP products, the company added, include all of the program features that have made Rimini Street the support provider of choice for hundreds of global, Fortune 500, mid-market, and public sector organizations. Standard program features include:
- Named, local senior support engineers assigned to each client (no off-shoring of support calls)
- Support through 2020 and beyond for existing releases without any required upgrades
- 24x7 support coverage with 30-minute or less guaranteed response by a senior engineer
- Application fixes for serious issues and tax and regulatory updates as needed
- Support for client customizations, interoperability and performance at no additional fee
- More than 50 percent cost savings in annual fees compared to the software vendor
- Flexible contract options
"We have taken over a year to carefully design our new service around the specific technical, functional, and support response needs of SAP licensees, and we will deliver that support with only the most experienced engineers having an average of at least 10 years experience implementing, upgrading, and supporting global SAP projects," said Shawn du Plessis, vice president of SAP Service Delivery, Rimini Street. du Plessis is a 16 year SAP veteran who has held leadership roles across more than 15 major SAP full life cycle implementations with global companies such as Nestle, Sebastian International and Siemens.
