Alcatel-Lucent, Motorola and Ciena Communications Sign WiMAX Forum Global Congress 09 Sponsorship Pacts

The WiMAX Forum announced that Alcatel-Lucent, Motorola and Ciena Communications have signed sponsorship deals for the 2nd Annual WiMAX Forum Global Congress event, taking place June 2-3 at the RAI in Amsterdam.

Sanjay Singh, Head of Sales - WiMAX Forum Congress Series, Informa Telecoms & Media said, "As the official event of the WiMAX Forum, the Global Congress will be the most influential gathering of the WiMAX ecosystem this year. Building on the successful show last year, in 2009 we are very proud to welcome pre-eminent speakers from the ITU, The World Bank, US Defence Spectrum Organization, Ofcom, Time Warner Cable, Sony Electronics, Clearwire, Kodak, Worldmax, Yota, T-Mobile, Comstar, Korea Telecom, KDDI and many more."

The free exhibition will host over 45 companies showcasing the latest solutions for WiMAX. The event will also feature a focus day on the 'Emerging Markets', a packed two day conference agenda and a WiMAX Engineers Technical Symposium.
